How to fully lock a upvc window lock??

I don’t exactly know how to say to explain what i need help with as im not a window connoisseur but basically I fully opened my window that has a upvc lock so I could clean the other side but now that I’ve done that I don’t know how to put it back to normal where it wouldn’t fully open. It should only go to this point (1st photo), but now that I’ve fully opened it, it goes beyond (2nd photo). How do I put it back to normal?

Open inward widow to allow for cleaning?
They have a mechanism to allow that to happen and you need to be careful with handle position or it jams half way and you get in a pickle.

Other widows have a button in hinge slider but I don't think that's what you have.
