How to get patches right on plastered plasterboard.Make good help

I had to open few hole to fish out cable for downlights. How do I make good on the right way?

You can feather it out over a few inches either side of the patch, will need a couple of coats.

dont need scrim . stick the old bits back , slightly lower if possible and skim over with toupret filler.

What the best way to mix filler. Water only, paint only or water and paint?
