How to stop junk mail from going into Spam Folder

I receive a lot of junk mail which goes into my spam folder and i am getting fed up deleting this folder . I have Bullguard which i pay for per year. Are their any settings i can adjust to prevent this junk mail from geting on to my computer in the first place ? Thanks.
 
Not really much you can do as far as I know - that is why you have a Junk/Spam folder. You could try setting a rule on that folder to automatically delete emails, however there is a risk that some emails which enter that folder may be genuine mails that you wouldn't want deleted.
 
Most email accounts let you set up filters, you can send the most common terms like "bank" "viagra" etc straight to trash

Mine (and probably most others) gives the option for junk mail to be deleted automatically at regular intervals - eg, weekly. That would give you time to check what's in there.
 
Quite right, but to be honest I've never bothered to investigate as I just delete manually every so often.

Plus you never know when you'll need a bit of Viagra! :lol:

I keep getting those 'Viagra' things too. Do they know something? :shock:
