How to use this John Guest reducer

I need a standard 22mm to 15mm inline reducer, can't find a pack of 1 on screwfix. I can only find the one above but one end looks strange to me.

Can anyone tell me how to use it?

The socket is 15mm and the plain end is 22mm which will need to go into a 22mm fitting.

Don't like to mix and match my fittings and this one needs a key anyway to unmount.

One of the advantages of a "key" disconnect fitting is that there's no fear of the fitting self-disconnecting if it gets caught against a joist or some other obstruction

speedfit fittings can't disconnect just like that if properly inserted. I've tried and it's very hard. You can also lock it into place. For fittings that have been there for a while, I even struggle to undo them. Can't imagine them getting undone even by pulling on the pipe.
