Huw Edwards pleads guilty to making indecent images of children

The former BBC newsreader will be sentenced in September after pleading guilty to three charges.

The BBC also said it had been "made aware in confidence that he had been arrested on suspicion of serious offences and released on bail" last November.
Edwards had already been suspended in relation to different allegations but remained employed on full pay until he left on "medical advice" three months ago.

Good to see the beeb are on top of getting good value for the licence fee.
 
He’ll get discount for guilty plea.
And the sentencing will be for possession not creation due to the electronic medium.
 
Anyone remember Ernest Saunders, chairman of Guinness? He played a blinder way back in the day. He was a true pioneer of the use of playing the mental health card.

This is an organisation that has a pornographic sculpture above the front door at its HQ.

The bloke who carved the statue wrote in his Diary about raping his daughters, he also sexually abused the family pets as well apparently.

Never rated Edwards, hardly on the main bulletins, and not any where near as impressive as dimble by on state occasions. Davie will probably be the fall guy, and a labour appointee will get put in.
