Hi all,

Im looking to fit a hydronic plinth heater under my stairs to warm up my dining room (underfloor heating is not strong enough to make the room warm) but cant choose between Myson or Smiths (or another).

The SS9 or the Myson 800H seem ideal for heat output and roughly the same (though the Myson is a bit more work as I need to move a joist more than with the Smiths - but Id rather do that if it is a better product). The Smiths one seems quite a bit noisier on normal mode, though I know you can measure it in loads of different ways so maybe not that different...?

The key thing for me is noise and reliability, given they are similar. Though I dont think the spec sheets say it all so would love to know what do you recommend?

Thanks

EDIT: From a search I can see that Smiths seems to get recommended on here, but has anybody compared the noise levels?

Not compared the noise level between the two, but I have fitted the smiths brand and would not purchase another brand as an installer. The running noise is minimal.

Ok,thanks. Will give it a go with the Smiths then and will post back if I do think it is noisy (just so others can compare since my parents have a Myson model). Also Smiths were much better on the phone when asking questions and even said if it is noisy they can give me a resistor to make the fan quieter.
Thanks again
