Ideal mini c30 Boiler

Hello. First time posting and looking for some advice please. Had our Ideal boiler serviced. The engineer said the co & co2 readings were high and that it needed a new burner seal and a strip down service. So burner seal replaced and strip down service was done. It indeed brought the readings way down. However, since the work was done the boiler is now making a loud noise when igniting and sometimes comes up with F2 error. Quick googling reveals delayed ignition? This never happened before the service and part replacement. Is there something the engineer could have done to cause this? Wanted to get some advice before calling them out again or indeed avoiding them and calling someone different. Thanking you in anticipation.
 
You have what is termed explosive ignition, nothing you can do to sort this yourself , you need an RGI

Thank you for your reply. Whilst I understand there's not a lot I can do myself. My main objective of the question is why would it have started doing this after a full service and part replacement? Is it just a coincidence or could the engineer have done something to cause this?

not necessarily caused it as such but may have need to adjust the settings slightly, not a big job just get them back , it is only a tiny adjustment usually

Thank you once again. What setting would he be adjusting? I ask in case he plain turns around and says it needs such and such part replacing?
 
No doesnt need a part , it is a setting , wish I could tell you more but site rules correctly prevent me from doing so, if done by a DIYr then could be dangerous, so we are not allowed to give that advice out, I know you wouldnt attempt it your self but this is an open forum and anyone could read it and think , I will try that , the clue is in the term explosive ignition, and it is not the actuall ignition part that you should be worried about
