Ideal standard toilet

To change the fill valve on an ideal standard toilet do you need to remove the cistern? The pan kind of has a hole around it were the fill valve goes through.

No. Swap when fixed to wall. Syphon yes you remove. Inlet no

Its the type were the inlet hole also goes through the toilet pan hole

Depends if you can get to the fixing nut through the hole. If you can't then the cistern will probably have to come off.

Thanks think would have to be a box spanner but not sure if room to get it on
