IE9 LINKS

i have gone from firefox to IE9....i thought i would try it out with their claims of being faster and smoother, which seems to be the case and i like the simple task bar at the top without all the clutter....BUT When i try and click on links from other sites it won't open them..have i got to add an add on to get this to work?

OS IS W7 HOME.

it's a shame really m$ not getting their browsers right,they have everybody using their OS's ...But they cannot get it right,had to switch to GC which seems ok up to now, seems to do everything it say's on the tin...

Just a point but if your OS is 64 bit did you install the 64 bit version of IE9?
If not, try it and it should cure your problem. As you have probably set GC as your default browser you would have to change that to IE9 64bit.

it's the 32 version...GC is good, it's just that you see these adverts... "try IE9 now".... and i did, i'll stick with GC......
