Im looking to get up a website

But there are loads of others. If you have decided on a host then try the above. If you have not decided on a host (and want to pay... ie its a commercial site, then try website builders available from any reputable hosting company).

I know there are many who will disagree but my advice is:

Don't worry about how professional your site is, worry about how to promote it. People will buy from a sh*t site they can see but cannot buy from a brilliant sit they can't!

Some may take the mick, but i would recomend frontpage, as your web creating programme, i use it quite a lot, find it very easy to use, and when you are ready to move on, you then find out that fontpage can do even more than you think it can.

as fro a webhost, if you are going to sell something/ offfer a service, i would recomend that you buy a web domain of your own, eg:

you sell flowers, you have a website called dual-fuels flowers, but if it is hosted by say bt your email address becomes

yourname@[email protected]

or something like that.

my point is that by having the btinternet.com bit it says "we are too tight to get a proper website and so use our free webspace given by our isp"

you may also want to look at here for a webhost

i use them and find they are good
