A mate of Mrs Mottie got knocked up when she was 16. Bottom line, her mum slung her out so she moved in with her boyfriend. His mum let her and the boyfriend live in the loft. They even had another baby whilst still living in the loft. Stayed there a good few years and they had to go up and down a ladder, with a baby, to cook, bathe, go to the loo etc. They couldn’t afford anything else. That was over 30 years ago and they are still together in a proper house now.
