I think I am correct in saying that my gmail emails are stored in the gmail server

Is there an email that stores the emails you receive on your Hard Drive.

You can use an email client such as outlook or Thunderbird (free) to store your emails on your PC.

You need to configure the email client to use POP3 for incoming emails (rather than IMAP, which simply leaves emails on the server). The client will, by default, tell the email server to delete messages from the server after a given amount of time, you can configure that to not delete (meaning that you can access the emails from your phone after they have been saved to your computer).
