Afternoon all,
I'm looking for some advice on how to increase the side of my fireplace. However looking up my chimney the stack takes a 45 ish angle towards the right.
How would I go about raising the height of my fireplace opening? As I see it I'd be able to raise the front of the fireplace with a new lintel installed higher up however the rear corbel bricks would still be there preventing the creation of a square fireplace opening.
Any advice on how to raise the height of the fireplace opening creating a rectangular opening for a future stove?
