Morning, I have a Wmao 963p washing machine. Started to flash F06 intermittently then after a week started to smell. Checked it out and found the connectors were burnt.
Ordered a new one, fitted it with the same wiring but get the message that the door is still open.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Graham

It looks like you need a new connector, anything could have happened to the contacts after damage like that.

.... however and importantly, have you contacted Indesit?
A faulty door lock mechanism has been the reason for a spate of recent product recalls, due to the fire risk.
A quick look on the recall list, doesn't show your model - but Indesit needs to know in case this is a trend that means the recall needs to be extended.

You fitted that burnt out switch in picture?
That is not good.
If not test new switch is working with multi meter..

Thanks for the reply’s
Have reported to indesit via their chat option
Fitted spade terminals as the switch fell apart, getting 1020 between terminals 2 and 3 when simulating the door is shut, but can’t simulate a reading on common terminal 4.
Beginning to think new switch could be faulty .

New spade connectors fitted

You may have already seen this, but here's the interior of a door switch courtesy of BigClive:
