installing dimmer kills upstairs bathroom lightings

I installed a Leviton Single Pole Slide Dimmer in a bedroom. It seems to be working fine. After which, coincidentally, my bathroom lights + fan upstairs can no longer power on anymore. Could they be related? If so, what can be done? Please advise. Thanks. I also tested upstairs bathroom switch wire to have no power. Thx.

If the lights stopped working immediately after you worked on the circuit, there's good chance the fault is related to something you've done. (I assume you've covered the obvious and checked for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers.)

You could have disturbed a connection which feeds through the box, or miswired the dimmer so that it is now controlling the bathroom as well.

It's impossible to be more specific without knowing more about the actual installation, as there many variations in the way the wiring may have been installed.
