Hi,

I am new to this forum and find it really useful.

Hoping to get more info from anyone who can share information on how to wire my new Nest 3rd gen learning thermostat and heatlink to my Danfoss 4033 programmer.

I must confess that i "really" looked up on the heating system after buying Nest and find it more complicated than i assumed to install it.

I have a S-plan heating system with 2 port valves and Danfoss 4033 programmer which is linked to Honeywell Thermostat at the ground floor. The boiler is potterton prima f.

Attached are some pics.

Appreciate all the help.

Thanks & Regards,

Suresh

Ah, I did one of these last week, with much rewiring of the system to make it work. That did have the old 4033 in a different place to the zone valves though - yours looks simpler to do. Having said that, you won't get all of those cables into a Heat Link, they just won't fit. You'll need to get yourself a wiring centre and wire most things in there, then provide the necessary supplies and switching wires to the Heat Link from that. Get the easy ones out the way first - Earths stay together, Neutrals stay together, permanent Lives stay together. Just beware of incorrect cable colours having been used in some places - for example you have a blue (usually neutral) core being used as a jumper on a permanent Live connection in there.

Thanks Andrew! That really helps, i was suprised not to find a wiring centre initially and wondered how to fit it all. Appreciate it.
