Funny how no-one can back up the claim that Ireland has the status as the 'worlds biggest tax haven'...
Worlds biggest fine for tax evasion.

On 29 August 2016, after a two-year investigation, the European Commission announced: “Ireland granted illegal tax benefits to Apple”. The Commission ordered Apple to pay €13 billion in back taxes to the Irish state. This would have amounted to over €20 billion due to the Irish state after penalties and interest is considered. This approximates to around 10% of Irish GDP in 2014.

It was the largest corporation tax fine in history

Leprechaun economics

Just how much higher, is terrifying. In Q1 of 2015, alone (the month after the investigation conveniently ended), Apple shifted €300 billion, through Ireland, in the biggest ever base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) action ever undertaken in the history of the World.

This resulted in Ireland’s national GDP rising by 34.4% in the year. Paul Krugman, the Nobel Prize-winning economist coined the phrase “leprechaun economics” in reference to this single action when describing Ireland as the World’s biggest tax haven

Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis claimed Ireland was a tax haven “free-riding” on the rest of Europe

Maybe the worlds biggest money launderette would be more appropriate.

So the worlds biggest corp (by market cap), and possibly the worlds most proftable corp (depending on the yr) has shifted its tax burden through Ireland. This is a relatively recent event. Now tell me what is the overall incidence of tax avoidance over the last few decades.

Ireland is on the list because of the "Apple" effect and its outsized profits.

Another corporate tax scam.

Aircraft leasing

Aircraft leasing, where special tax treatments allow many lessors to operate tax-free. This might sound arcane, but consider that 14 of the 15 of the World’s largest aircraft leasing companies make Ireland their home. Irish-based leasing businesses manage more than 5,000 aircraft in total worldwide, representing more than $130 billion in assets. That’s more than 50% of all the leased aircraft Worldwide. Yet, sadly… no tax

The abuses in Ireland are so large, that the US Senate set up an investigation, under the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations to review the malpractices undertaken in Ireland. This embarrassed the EU which had been allowing (and still does allow) the malpractices to continue.

The UK and Ireland are Tax havens.

So the argument against the EU was that it was too controlling. Now the argument is its too lax. Consistency of a Brexxer.

Your dislike of Ireland Tax Haven status it seems is based on your dislike of the EU.

The UK, Ireland and all other tax havens should be dealt with.

The UK and Ireland are Tax havens
The UK isn't even in the same league when it comes to money laundering.
Ireland uses its tax system to allow foreign corporations to launder there profits.
Numerous authorities have pointed out that
the biggest loser is the ordinary tax payer in the EU not the UK.
So why are you defending this practice.

Rather than just reeling off anecdotes, does anyone have any statistics?

The labour party pay £1,000,000 a year in rent for there head quarters , this million gets paid to some company based in Jersey ;);)

They're often xenophobic, racist or islamophobic. But this one is about the Labour party headquarters which he repeats frequently.

Source? Luxembourg is normally high up the list.

Afaik there is a lot of dodgy Russian money invested in Malta
There’s a load of it invested in Spain too. Very near to our place is a casino. Packed with Russians every night. The villas in the complex opposite the casino is, as far as I can tell, 100% occupied with Russians too. Even when they were building it, it had a Russian sales office staffed by Russians. Weren’t even interested in showing us round. I think they just come over, gamble, go home. You rarely see them anywhere else. On the other hand, most of the bars and restaurants are owned and staffed by......Irish.
