Should be safe. Sainsburys uses O2 (I guess national not just my local), if a campsite has wifi then should be perfectly safe. Most of the web is https / secure now anyway.
Problem with campsites is number of people connecting. I went camping this year and could only get on the wifi late in the evening.
A good 4G package will be worthwhile though.

Free wifi is not safe.
Even if you are pulled into a petrol station, you can't be sure that the signal named "BPGreenLane" isn't coming from a parked van.

But you can buy a SIM only deal that will give you more access than you are ever likely to need. Mine costs about £8 a month but you will find others. Then you can work wherever there is a phone signal.

If you have Norton Anti Virus (noting that many consider it terrible or not necessary) then you can use their provided VPN when using others WiFi.

But if you do use VPN, do note that the whoever provides you with the VPN could also be analysing your data (and they will know who you are as you will have provided them with your details). So do not use the cheapest, free VPN provider you can find.
