Just had the though the other day that, as hot water from combi boilers does not normally get exposed to any air and is always under pressure, is it technically safe to drink? :D

Not saying it would taste nice or be a recommended thing to do though!

I don't see why not. Personally. There wont be any dead birds (or aliens) floating in it.

It's designated Cat2, therefore not wholesome and not designated as drinking water. Would it kill you..... probably not ... although if the plate was leaking inhibited CH system water, it wouldn't be nice.

I've often wondered about filling the kettle up with it... save a bit on leccie and all that! :)

I always fill my pans from the hot... They boil quicker, same for the kettle though I rarely use that but the bean to cup coffee maker gets a hammering

Funny thing is... first draw off of hot water in the mornings is when I fill the whb in the bathroom (for my bodily cleansing ) and the water's creamy, from what the board put in it at that time of day, I presume? Or sitting in the supply pipes overnight!

Probably just air Does it clear if you let it stand a while?
