Hi, I have a bathroom floor in a second floor flat that has gone rotten.
It seems that water was getting on to the floor and under the tiles and unable to dry out.
It has been laborious and tricky to chisel all the tiles and unscrew plywood and replace floorboards.
I was thinking it may be a good idea to just paint the floorboards and dispense with the plywood and tiling which may cause a similar problem on the future and is hard to add new services under.
Obviously may be a bit noisier for the flat below but I can put rockwool or some kind of sound deadening insulation under the floorboards.
