I'm not sure but I think that you think it's the British government that's transporting and exploiting people around the world.

Way off the mark, and you really are not understanding the overall issue, just focusing on 1 little bit.

You need to step back, forget your preconceptions and think through, who benefits?

I'm still working out how you connect the issue to brexit/leave and EU.

I believe there is a middle ground, where those who can help those who can't.
Help strangers.

The possibilities are endless. Helping the homeless, donating to food banks, cooking a meal for the widow over the road, taking stuff to the tip, helping with DIY, gardening etc....

Totally agree, plenty of need for that at present. A lot of volunteering is a bureaucratic nightmare though. Why you cant just turn up and put up some shelves is beyond me.
 
I can see the need for a CRB if you are working in someone's home. But they are straight-forward enough to get hold of.
