I'm not proud of slavery. Our problem today is how to stop it.
It's only a British problem in the fact that it's happening under our noses.

Agreed although plumbers don't have them, all sorts of trades and professionals walk into your house without a crb check. Happy to be corrected but I am not aware of a legal requirement.
 
With what is going on in this world,
Rule, Britannia is most probably more appropriate than its ever been. There is a massive threat from the east and if we crumble I'd hate to think whst our masters will do with us.

Many, many moons ago, I was doing works in Leeds.
Social housing.

Almost to a man, no-one gave a rat's @RSE for my polite explanations of why I was there: “carry on, Love“ was pretty much standard, as they went back to their daytime telly.

Except one older bloke.
Asked me questions, got me explain the exact nature of what I'd be doing, why, what the likely outcomes might be, and what each meant.

After all that, he seemed happy, and satisfied with my valid reasons for knocking his door......

Its not being banned, I agree it probably is very rousing if e.g. you are a naval seaman going into battle.

My point is if the threats does materialise we would (not everyone) stand together and defend out land. Black white gammon or yellow.

Me and my mate had them. I never renewed last year as not one person asked me about it.

Once maybe twice have I been asked for my Gassafe ID.

It would but i think i read it is illegal for say an employer to ask for dbs check if it is not legally required.

With the state the country is in its perfectly possible that large groups of people from all different backgrounds would say no this isn't my battle.
