After all, they might report on what you're doing.

Self-defence my asre.

If you don't like it, I suppose you could look for an alternative.

What the f. is it with all this F.book - ?
I think JohnD has just found another source that he can quote from and repost for his social commentating.

69 Journalists killed in WW2
63 Journalists in the Vietnam war
90 Palestinian Journalists killed in the first 2 months of the Gaza war.
I think that’s the point the JohnD is trying to make.
Yes, Journalists and reporters do get killed in war, but what would be really interesting for JohnD to report on, particularly as he is into statistics and graphs etc is how many news agencies were hiring journalists in WW2 and the Vietnam war compared to the news channels and outlets there are now because, surprisingly (or not) each news source will need a journalist or two to carry out the reporting.

Anyway, is it only me that finds it strange that JohnD who is vehemently against the "tax dodging multinational" who "steal your data" etc etc is now actually appearing to SUPPORT them by using their service and posting up Facebook links?

How many Facebook friends do you have @JohnD?

I never saw the point of F.book.
Mark Zuckereberg is the clearest evidence of alien infiltration of Earth you'll ever see.
Don't feed the Lizard people, JohnD.

He'll feed anyone that can corroborate any of his posts. Of course, they'll all be journalists of the highest order but don’t think of using those same sources yourself if they disagree with whatever stance JohnD has taken - you'll be told that they are all worthless hacks!

Noa Doa is a guy in Holland with a F.book account and doesn't appear to be accredited to a news organisation, so i'll assume it's some dude in a windmill who may or may not wear clogs, according to the weather forecast.

The Israelis tried to kill Jeremy Bowen years ago in the Lebanon

His fixer / driver was killed in the incident when there car came under fire from an Israeli tank (?)

Excellent point.
In WW2, which lasted 6 years, there were an immense amount of reporters, reporting and media outlets reporting on the war.
How many journalists exactly? Of the names that began with just A, B, or C, there were about 25 journalists.

How many covered the Vietnam war, which lasted about 20 years, and again there were an unumerable number of journalists.

Now the currecnt Gaza conflict has lasted barely 3 months, and the journalists can't get into Gaza, so the number is limited to those who happened to live there, about 100 at a guess.

Now let's look at the casualties:
WW2 69 journalists killed, in 6 years with an immense amount of journailsts all over the world.
Vietnam War 63 journalists killed in 20 years, with the war coverd from all angles by journalists.
Gaza conflict 90 Journalists killed in just 3 months, with journalists prevented from reporting on the conflict.

You think there's a mistake somewhere? Ot is deliberately targetting journalists.
Like your specific targetting of questions.

What sort of area were covered in WW2 and Vietnam - were those ears fought over a concentrated area such as, Gaza for instance or were they spread out over numerous continents? As for Palestinian journalists only being killed, who else would you expect to be killed if nobody can get into Gaza?

I suspect he just wants to support a struggling organisation that only pays its UK staff an avg. £260k per year. Putting them well and truly in the 1% of UK employees who pay 28% of all income tax and around 39% of their income. Facebook UK also managed keep most of its £3.3bn of UK sales away from the tax man.

Good to see JohnD supporting the top 1% of earners and their tax efficient employers.. I didn't know he had it in him.

They tried but only killed the driver.
As I said, if they had really wanted him dead, they would have fired more missiles into the car he was in to make sure or, alternatively, shot him as he got out
