Hi All

can anyone tell me please how I reduce the size of my pictures from a jpeg to gif, need to put them on a website and jpeg is too large,
Thanks in advance

George

You probably have Microsoft Paint on your computer. I'm not sure how big a pic it will handle, but in principle it would do it.
Or there are lots of utilities llike Resize-it - google for it.

Many thaks for that Chris, will give it a try,

thanks again

http://www.fotosizer.com/

fotosizer will resize images for you- i use it primarily for doing batch (lots) of photos at the same time. It is lemon squeezy to use- you just tell it what size you want or the quality

It is a free program but it will not convert from jpg to gif.

GIMP is free for resizing plus image manipulation/conversion, but more involved/powerful than fotosizer

Is there a reason why you need to convert to gif?

Thank you very much opps,
My good lady has now done what was required thanks to a big response,
Photos were too large toput onto a certain site but have now managed it
Thanks agin
