I have recently (in the last two weeks) started to receive upwards of 200 unsolicited Junk emails. I have configured my iMac to put them in my Junk Folder.
I am running Apple Yosemite OS and have configured Apple mail as a server to gmail.
Mail offers filtering of Junk mail and in Advanced setting allows the option to put Junk mail directly to Trash.
This configuration however does not work.
Can anyone offer any advice on how to rid myself of these unsolicited Junk mails which I am receiving, the volume of which appears to be increasing to totally unacceptable levels.
The only way I can think of is to change my e-address but this will give me problems regarding existing genuine email contacts.
