Kinked 15mm copper water pipe, is it ok?

I just found this as I was doing the waste for my bath, it must have been like this for 10 or 20 years, but it doesn't look great to me

Would this be something ok to leave as it is, or should it definitely be replaced with a straight coupler by a plumber?

Ok thanks, yeah I just texted my plumber, he said he'd replace it if it was his house, but if I'm on a tight budget, which I am, it's probably nothing to worry about, as it's been fine for over 10 years probably

But still, once the bath is in, it's going to be near impossible to get to. Maybe worth paying him £50 to come over for peace in of mind

Yeah I thought this too. Although my biggest worry is a leak eventually even though it's been fine for many years. The flow was not an issue before

Highly unlikely it will leak - unless you try and straighten it out - so if you're happy with the flow rate then let sleeping dogs lie. On the other-hand that plastic waste line seems to require the copper being moved, and the routing of the electrics isn't the tidiest ; in fact there appears to be some abrasion or charring of the PVC outer sheath.

Yup +1 ...... If it was newly damaged and you were worried about it then replace but if it's been like that for years and you're happy with the flow from the outlet(s) it then no real issue to leave it as is.

Looking online it seems very mixed opinions on what to do! But it's good to know it could be left and probably be fine. The pipe wall is only 0.7mm, that's what worries me

The waste line is not in place yet, but it would also be helpful if that copper pipe wasn't in the way. The waste has been incredibly fiddly!

That's nothing to worry about - max working pressure is 58 bar. The highest I've ever seen in a domestic property is 10 bar, and 3 bar is more usual. It's not been bent enough to weaken it, just to restrict it

So you'd leave it? I recently knocked a pipe with a multi tool, jjst a tiny nick, and everyone on here said definitely cut and replace it. Is a kink different to a little cut/nick? Because to me this looks worse

As I said, a kink like yours won't significantly weaken the pipe. A nick out of it with a multitool removes material and thus causes weakening
