My kitchen tap is leaking on both the cold and hot taps but more so on the hot and I’ve fallen at the first hurdle. I can’t figure out how to take it apart to see if it’s the washers. No branding other than the kitchen was bought from howdens. Can anyone advise? Pictures below.

Thanks in advance.

They’re quarter turn taps, so inserts/cartridge, no washers to change. Small inner disc on lever (if it has one) should flick out using a thin implement, such as a utility knife. It may pull off, or the lever handle may unscrew to reveal a grub screw.

I’ve tried pulling the lever handle and prizing but didn’t want to do it too hard for fear of damaging the chrome. The horizontal part that connects the tap handle to the spout rotates but is limited by the handle so I guess I’ll try a bit harder prizing it off.

Change the tap.
That's very similar to a wickes tap i recently installed and came with a 10 year warranty.

You may end up doing this anyway, as you can’t always get the correct insert, and ends up dripping more.
