Currently renovating the hallway and I want to take this section of bricks out so it's a high ceiling to match the rest. I've chipped away back to brick to the top to see what's above and it looks like it is just plasterboard above. Originally below it was a wooden porch door. I'm pretty confident it doesn't need a lintel but wondering if anyone could give some advice please?
