Laminate plank direction

What is the best way to lay my planks going from hall way to living room with no transitions if possible

I'd go north south for the whole thing. I wouldn't like short lengths cutting across the hall where you enter. I initially thought I wouldnt want the living room north south, but I'm sitting in one as I type, and it's not offending my ocd!
 
thank you for your reply. We lay down some loose planks and are going for long planks in hallway, then a transition and 90deg long planks in living room, just because of the way the living room is set out.
what I didn't show was at the end of the living room furthest way from hall is French doors to the garden
 
Ideally across any existing floor board , towards main light source and along the longer room dimension.
 
I had a similar dilemma when I was doing my kitchen as both options had their downsides. I happened to lay a box of planks down diagonal and it just felt right so that's what I did. Maybe worth considering :)
