Hi guys,

I had a drip from my Deluxe chrome monobloc tap.
I fixed it by removing the cold tap side and replacing washer.

Now water is leaking from bottom of base. I've attached a photo.

How do I fix this please? Thank you.

Could the leak be starting from higher up ,and just collecting at that low point ? That's a rather odd place for a leak to develop from.

Terry,

I mop up water around base and then turn on water. You can see it leaking from base. Really bizarre.

When you turn on water ,do you mean operating left or right tap ? I think it's highly unlikely to be leaking from so low ,that area is permanently under pressure. If it only leaks when you turn a tap on ,check at the rear ,and wrap tissue higher up to see if it gets wet.

I turn on the cold tap. You can see it oozing water from the base.
I'll check later..... thanks

Good morning,

Water isn't leaking from base of tap.
It's coming from the cold cartridge. Trickling down the side when tap turned on then forming at base.
I recently removed it to replace bottom seal as tap was dripping.
I think its the top seal of the cartridge. Is this available to replace?

Usually an "O" ring ,if you refer to seal where valve thread goes into the tap body. Take it to a plumbers merchant to match . Or take the whole valve for a complete replacement valve.

It's the whole valve with new tap heads. Take the old one out drop the new one in.

I presume yours are the screw down type and not 1/4 turn?

This photo is of cartridge I removed. 3/4" thread.
So link you sent from screwfix is what is in this photo? If so it will save me removing the whole tap. Plus buying box spanners.
One says for Basin 1/2" the other for Bath 3/4". Although mine is kitchen sink it's 3/4" so go for Bath?

Usually the sink taps are 1/2" too, get them and try them, you can always take them back. Bath taps are the larger 3/4" that are found on the single taps.

I've measured the thread of the valve. It's 2cm (3/4").
Hence why I'm confused by for the 'bath'
