Hello,

This is my first post on here, basically today one of my shelves decided to partially fall and lob a heavy casserole pan onto the top of my kitchen tap. For some reason my tap has copper pipes going straight into it and not the usual flexible hoses. The pipe has cracked and it leaking water so it's turned off at the moment, I can turn it on for 10-15 mins at a time as the leak isn't too serious.

I'm just wondering if all I have to do is cut the hot and cold water pipes just above the 90 bend where both pipes go vertical towards the tap. I believe I just need to cut them, push on some adaptors on both pipes and then install proper flexible hoses to the tap. Removing the copper pips which are hopefully just screwed into the tap. If not then I'll have to get a new tap.

I've attached some images. I'm just after a bit of advice.

Thanks in advance.

I suspect you may need a new tap. I think the tap itself may be damaged where the thread of the copper tap connector tails screw in.
