During some renovating I realised our bay window has a water leak. Will remove and reapply the silicone sealant on the external sill (where the sill meets the window frame) to try fix this.
Just wondering though, looking at the windows from inside, one of them has some sort of seal/gasket (please see attached).
Hopefully someone out there will know what these are and what they're used for? If needed I can fit some on the missing gaps before the new window board is fitted.
Also if anyone can explain why sealant on the inside of windows is a no-no (atleast that's what my builder said)
