LED on 5amp circuit

I am a novice when it comes to the 5amp circuits and LED bulbs
We have a 5 amp circuit for lighting in one room with no dimmer attached.
We plugged a lamp with a dimmable 6w LED bulb (it was the only bulb we had) into the 5amp circuit.
The light from the bulb was significantly less than when we plugged the same lamp into a normal 13amp circuit. (Also non dimmable)
Why would that be?
 
Was the 5A circuit perhaps expecting a 12V lamp? Look at the previous lamp to check.
 
The only thing i can think of is considerable volt drop to the lamp holder, though wouldn't normally bother an Led lamp too much.
Are we talking about a standard BC lampholder.

Thanks for the quick responses
I just tested a non-dimmable led (again 6w led) and it is as bright on the 5A circuit as on the regular 13a circuit.
The circuit is 220V.

Actually when simultaneously connecting 3 led dimmable lamps to 3 separate plugs on the 5a circuit they are brighter (each is brighter) than when only one is connected.
