Hi all

When switching the smaller oven on, it trips the rcd within a minute or so. With Xmas coming up, would like to get this sorted so we have 2 working oven.

Any idea what this could be or how to diagnose this.

Possibly a faulty element, it is a common problem with ovens.

Anyway to test it to be sure before ordering a new one?

Not without a mega or similar, you could try disconnecting the element & insulating the wires & try again. If it does not trip then it's probably a duff element.

That instrument does offer an insulation test, so yes..
