I’ve just removed my light switch. I notice that 2 of the lights were L1 - L3 but one was L1 - L 2. Are L2 and L3 interchangeable - none of them are 2-way?

The switch that will be replacing it is marked Com, L1 and L2.
What terminals shall I use when fitting it on?

One of the switches is up tother way. If it was wired the same that light would go off when you switched it down for on.

Those are 2 way switched.

Com is your live / brown wire.

Use l1 in the new one for each of the switches if they are all 1 way.

On the new one use l1 a l2 on each set of terminals. You could use l1 and l3 on each if you wanted but you'd have to turn the switch upside down.

Why do they keep changing things like this unnecessarily? For some inexplicable reason, the 'GB' on the back of my van (GB having served this isle perfectly for many decades) now has to be 'UK'. ;)
