Purely theoretical question: What do you do when you have 6 * 1.5mm cables to fit in a heavy duty junction box that is only supposed to take 4 * 2.5mm cables?

Eg.
  • Ring in
  • Ring out
  • Switch
  • Lights 1
  • Lights 2
  • Timer Extractor (3 core and earth)
Do you
  1. Cram them all in? (Tight, but they'll fit)
  2. Find a bigger junction box? (Where?)
  3. Take a short spur off to another j/b for the lights (reducing the number of cables by one)
  4. Take a short spur off with 3 core and earth to another j/b where you can connect fan and 2 lights.
  5. Something else?

:?:

4 x 2.5 = 10; 6 x 1.5 = 9

Hardly 'heavy duty' if it only takes 4 x 2.5.
