Can anyone suggest a budget (white) cladding to hang under rafters in a cold loft that will look half decent?

I have to cover approx 16000 mm x 2600 mm

So far I've found 3m long hollow PVC soffit. Will this be suitable?

TIA

Yes to light storage, no to study.

Unless you are going to do a loft conversion, then your cladding would not be used, it would be plaster board.

Thanks, Would it be bad to attach cladding directly to the rafters just for aesthetics?

If anyone else can offer any alternative budget cladding ideas that would be greatly appreciated

A breathable membrane stapled to the rafters? PVC cladding will prevent airflow and a loft without good airflow is an unhealthy loft. In anycase your loft will be freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer. Like a conservatory but worse.

Thanks Freddie. There would be a large air gap behind the cladding vents, all the way from the soffits to the ridge. What are options to improve ventilation ?
