I'm wondering if if would be possible for a loft conversion when I have a pyramid shaped roof?
I'm thinking I would need the sides bricked up into a triangle and convert it into a normal sloping roof but that sounds very expensive to me. Any ideas if it's possible and rough idea what it might cost? Have attached photo of the roof.

Thanks

anything is possible but I expect the cost would outweigh the benefit, and that's if you could get the thing past the planners.

I'm talking circa 150k for a extra bedroom house where I live. Re planning the odd thing is identical house opposite has the normal sloping roof. Seems to be hit and miss which roof these houses have round here.

It could be worth getting in touch with a truss manufacture and tell them what you want, they can design you a new roof from scratch with the new room incorporated. I don't see you keeping much of your old roof if you try to convert what you have at the moment.

What height do you currently have in the loft? What's the footprint of the house?

well might well be a goer then, my first stop would be planning if you have sufficient head height.
