We have Railtrack's heavy-duty earth machinery, working at the back of the house, between 75 and 100 yards away. For the past three days, they have been compacting earth they have disturbed. I both clearly hear the noise and feel the vibrations, they are quite unmissable to me, when they are working, even when I am at the front of the house, furthest from where they are working. Avril claims not to feel it, nor hear it. Others who have been here, likewise claim not to hear or feel it.
