Hi ,
Can someone help me with my main Medway super. The problem is that I had a water leak which I've fixed by putting a new push rod O ring. But now I'm having another problem with a small gas leak just under the burner where the pin is , it lights up when the pilot is on and causes a small flame to light up ,but when the pilot is off I can't get any leak at all ,all the screws are fully tightened. Can someone explain to me where the leak may be coming from and which parts need changing. I even got a corgi plumber to try and help me because Medway is an old brand and even he hasn't got a clue where the leak is coming from. I had the same problem with my old Medway boiler and got rid of it 10 years ago.

Thank you for your advice, god bless.

You need to get a Gas Safe Registered engineer in. Call around and see if you can find anyone that has specific diagnostic knowledge as it should be straightforward identifying where the leak is from for an experienced engineer.

Unfortunately you won't receive any gas advice as it's against forum rules to promote DIY gas work.

You posted this last week and were told to read the forum rules about gas work.

Most registered engineers will be familiar with these models as we used to receive training on them and many repair a few each year.

Whilst they can be repaired part for part, if you really intend to keep such an old appliance much longer than a complete new water/gas section would be sensible.

So an engineer familiar with them would be the next requirement.

Tony
