Major Incident In Southport

Emergency services called to Hart St at around 11:50 after reports of stabbings. Blades recovered by the police and a man arrested and taken to a police station.
 
Seems 8 people being treated in 3 hospitals, one for children. BBC also suggesting people should ignore social media as no other details have been released yet.
 
2 dead now and 8 injured. Some adults but no info. Summer school event. Young children according to reports and the 17 year old arrested some distance away in the area he lives in. Seems he just walked into a building and went to work.
Most of this hasn't come from the police.
 
No terrorist connection apparently...

So it's likely it's a mental health issue...

Just like most random/unjustified violence!

Could be fake news, currently reported by a US, NZ and a local news outlet' Evening Standard says suspect was born in Cardiff.


The 17-year-old suspect, born in Cardiff, is being held on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after the incident in Hart Street, Southport, Merseyside, police said.
