Hi there

I have MS Office 2007 installed on my laptop. I want to buy a new computer in the new year. Can I transfer the programme over from one pc to the other and if so how? I have an external hard drive at my disposal, if that helps.

You would require an original install disc - as MS office installs files all over the place - not in 1 specific directory.
You can legally have the same product key on 2 machines (1 desktop and 1 laptop) - but only with Office 2003 or 2007.
Recent Office licensing has changed, so users now require different product keys for different machines.
