My current old ford van wipers stop mid screen when I turn ignition off. If they are just stopping mid screen I guess you need to swap relay. Just pulls out. Might be the column switch or relay as they do wear out. I'd start with wiper relay second hand or new off eBay. Fuse box ord Mondeo MK2 Locate fuse and relay. Fuse box diagram.
