Why, when your in French waters close to a port.
Won’t be long before these asylum seekers will only get up to their knees in the French side of the channel before whistling up the RNLI taxi.

On this occasion, having just reviewed the vessel data for the RNLI rescue boat MSSI 23200248, its very curious how this vessel ended up less than 5.7nm from the coast of France, having been scrambled from dover. It then chooses to "return" the rescued "seafarers" to to the UK instead of France.

What about the countries they crossed before they got to France. Why didn't they stop them?
