More EU bureaucracy

Whether this is true or not, isn't maintaining a car far better for the environment than scrapping them and buying new ones ?

If this is true its got be be the major manufacturers who are pushing for it

Bottom line is that cars will last 25+ years if looked after and just look at the cars you see on the road you will realise how many are actually over 10 years old

"...specifies conditions under which a vehicle is deemed technically irreparable or residual. These include extensive damage, such as being cut, welded, burnt, submerged, or exhibiting irreversible technical defects."

Gassy hasn't got an official draft to substantiate his story.

but one has been provided if you care to read it.

So maybe..
Rumours spread by unreliable sources like yourself.

Requires an apology?

EU have been poking there noses into the classic car scene for years

Had some of there ballcocks gone un checked
Dozens of car manus would have been shut down

Some of there regs on working or modifying your own car are that stringent it’s virtually impossible

Hence why there is or was a healthy market in EU citizens coming to the UK to purchase specialist cars
Not sure of all of that

Any info you can link to?

There's a lot of classic cars well maintained in Europe.

Do you own research

I am a member of numerous car clubs

The UK has more specialist car manus than any other country in the world ( probably )

Some country’s in the EU it’s virtually impossible to build / modify a car or bike due to red tape

Modify, yes, some very strict rules on what is allowed and what isn't, all based around safety.

Build? Not that I know of.

I wonder if we are members of the same clubs?

This type of bowlux comes out regularly under the guise of saving the planet. It's obviously nothing of the sort because older, more polluting cars are being scrapped every day and in a few years most will be gone. Just wait a while longer and the problem will sort itself naturally. Unless it's all about selling more cars and keeping EU industry afloat. That would be more honest. However I understand people's desire to stretch out ownership of an old simple, straightforward vehicle rather than be forced into to an over complicated, stupendously expensive EV sho!tebox. I'm doing the same myself.
