More EU bureaucracy

Go on then. What claim have I made?

Let's remind you about yours. You said it's virtually impossible to build or modify a car in Europe.

You said what I said was incorrect
Prove it

Thus far your only proof is a rubber hose and a funnel that you and who ever modified an mg to accept and class it as as some significant modification

Blimey is one of your degrees in engineering ??

Did use one of them CAD progs to design it ?

Keep
Me abreast of any other good ideas

Can you help me out with a hydraulic clutch conversion for a sierra peddle box ?? Perhaps you and who ever could give it some thought ?

Or ???? ??????

MK sports cars

“ we get alot of enquiries about registering a kit car in Italy so we made it our mission to find out
So welcome to Leo an experienced car importer to Italy “

Firstly it is not possible to register a kit car in Italy from brand new.It must be registered in another EU country and than imported into the country. So the bad news is you cannot import a brand new car it has to be 2nd hand pre registered before importing so only pre built cars can be imported you cannot unfortunately build a car in Italy and than register it here

Also have several similar comments from my club ref France

Will post up later on ;)

Got that manu list yet ???

Well you've proved 1 thing.

You know less about this subject than I thought you did.

It is not impossible to build or register a kit car in Italy. It is not possible to do it with MK though. They do not supply the details required to do so.

I can find you the relevant details needed if you want

Oh you do keep digging your hole.

Before I do that, let me just add a bit about MK cars and the Italy stuff you quoted.......

We "MK Sportscars" are not experts in this field and do not know the law or are able to speak the local language. This information is only what we have been told by someone who has done this and is experienced. This is by no means the law of the country,

Do you really want to keep digging?

Car club question prior to brexit ref France asked by others

“ can you tell me if it is possible to build and register a kit car in France ? It’s a seven kit and I want to use the running gear from a Mazda RX7”

This is afaik impossible . The French system is set to only allow manu cars ? But if you succeed please post it up . Good luck

Afaik the only kit cars are ones retaining the donor chassis floor pan and running gear . This is OK fir 2CV based kits and VW based buggies but any thing else particular seven type kits built from scratch would not be allowed . You would be OK with say Caterham or Westfield as these cars can be built as new using new components

I have checked several times with the authorities and have received replies varying from stony non ce estpas possible to out right laughter . The concensus seems that in theory it’s possible but it’s so difficult and time consuming that it’s effectively impossible

There is a bloke building Vincent bikes in France so it must be possible

Yes if the manu has gone through all the hassle of type approval ect ect which is only worth it if they can sell sufficient numbers but that’s a bit different from pitching up with a home made special

Kevin is right unless the kit has a strong basis in a series built car we’re a manu can supply all the docs than you will find it’s a non starter
Plus French beurocracy

Your best course of action would be build and register the car in the UK than ship it to France an age related reg number would be an advantage

All seperate responses prior to brexit

But I thought you knew all about it? All you are doing is posting comments from the internet.

If you contact the Italian vehicle licensing agency, with vehicle specs and tech data and the EU directives relevant to the car, they will help you through it. For a price of course. Same in France.

Now, your kit car company may not want to provide all that info, and that is the usual stumbling block. But that is down to the kit car manufacturer, not the european country you want to register it in.

Please stop posting lazy and incorrect info and finish your hole.

Prove me and all those comments wrong

So far all you have come up with is a rubber hose and a funnel

Although I will concede your modification may have involved drilling a hole in the chassis ?

Or don’t mg s have a seperate chassis / body as such and you drilled a hole through the module ( forgot the tech word for those cars )

Now, on a slightly seperate note.

If you are concerned about these kit car companies, why did you vote for Brexit? Do you know ANY UK kit car that has found Brexit helpful?

You are wrong, you know it, you just won't accept it.

Feel free to carry on, I've had enough. If you can't actually find out the truth about kit cars in Euurope, then I am never going to convince you.

The truth is out there, go and find it. Ask your kit cars companies for the actual genuine info.

Had enough I tell you why because you think you know but in actual fact you know f all

You can’t even tell me what kit car companies are in France or Germany or Italy or were ever

You think some type of major modification is a funnel and a peice of rubber tube

The beurocracy in the EU for building a kit car is massive
That’s why most of em are based in the UK

As for your comments about GBS prior to brexit he gave up dealing with the French

But you have pointed out in one of your posts he is now into France just goes to show how brexit helped him out

Dare say that upsets you ?? An advantage to brexit

You are just rambling.

Sorry, no matter what more rubbish you put, you are wrong. You have not posted 1 FACT yet, just lazy incorrect rubbish from the internet.

Your initial comment (that you keep trying to move away from) was that it was virtually impossible to modify or build a car in Europe. You were wrong, you are still wrong. You've quoted partial stuff but missed out the actual relevant important information.

I have never claimed any thing about manufacturers or companies, just that your "facts" were wrong.

You CAN build and modify in Europe, subject to the relevant laws. Same as it is in the UK, subject to the relevant laws.
