Earlier on I raised the issue that this topic:
http://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/wrong-flag-how-do-i-change-it.436596/ has been moved out of the Electrics forum, but there's no way of telling that when looking at the list of topics, so navigation gets a bit confusing.
But I've been thinking - this "feature" could be of benefit. I know that in the past I have had questions to ask and it's not been clear which is the most appropriate forum to use, and a valid case could be made for it going into either A or B. Or ideally both, but that's always been a no-no, for good reasons.
It seems to me that as what we now get is a symbolic link, not really taking up any space, that feature could be exploited to allow people to have a question appear in more than one forum. I guess it should be by request to Admin/Mods, not by self-selection. I don't think it would be happening a lot, although Admin should know how often duplicate topics pop up, but there definitely are times when it would be appropriate.
Feasible?
