msn explorer keeps hanging

Hi all.
Running windows xp. The problem iv'e got is with my msn explorer.
Log on ok, and usage ok, it's when i go to sign out, it hangs with programme not responding.
Don't know if this has anything to do with it but never had a problem when i was connected to ntl broadband, it's since i've switched over to tiscali bb.
Any idears ?

just a thought, have you removed ALL traces of your cable modem?

Hi breezer,
yep all traces removed.
if modems can cause this, i may not have my tiscali one set up correctly.
baring in mind it's broadband, every time i connect a small screen appears saying dial up connection connecting ,or to that effect, i dont know if this is how it should be, as with the Lan connection, it used to connect by itself as soon as the computer is turned on.
have to say though internet explorer is working fine which makes me think that msn may need a fix of some sort.
what do you think ?

no idea about the problem, but the dialogue box like you have for dial up, i get that if i click on my email icon, (assuming i am not on line) then the dial up box appears and i get connected. normally i click on the modem icon.
