Multinational forced to pay some tax

They aren’t in the 1% paying 28% of all income tax, then. Are they - jeez it’s not hard, is it?

Do you mean you have now realised that a person paying 20% tax on total received, is paying a smaller proportion of his dosh, than a person who pays 33%?

Or are you still denying it?

You don't think UK needs more homes, then.
Every country in the world needs more homes. Do you know of any countries that have too many homes?

When was yours built?
What has that to do with anything?

Anyway, what’s this game you’re playing? Is it called ‘I’ll ignore your questions but I keep asking and expect you to answer mine'?

Which they couldnt do whilst being tied into the EUs terms and conditions of being a member.
So you voted for Brexit so the U.K. had more globalisation opportunities….which as the article says: reduces work in this country, lowers wages, lowers standards

But I thought you were against “globalisation”

You have this thing where you project my thoughts, actions, without having a clue where I'm coming from, obviously from what the above tripe says anyway, why?

Being against globalisation is like being against the tide coming in and out, globalisation is inevitable and to some degree, necessary. But it was sold as something that would increase the wealth of working classes, it didn't, it had the opposite effect. The EU were great proponents of globalisation on the one hand whilst still trying to be protectionist on the other hand, that doesn't work.

I don't know what the answer is, ban all tariffs and duty and let rip completely with free trade, or become more insular and protectionist, like the EU that is struggling to strike trade deals

I do know that it has **** all to do with brexit, and I do know there's nobody on this forum who has a solution to this global conundrum.

There are plenty of countries that have homes people can afford…France for example
That wasn’t the question and you know it but I’ll pretend it was so that you can tell us why, if there are so many homes in France that people can afford, why is the homeless population increasing?

This was your example, they aren't in the top 1% paying 28% of all income tax - some 1/2 a million of us, who get fed up hearing about how they should pay more, from people who pay hardly any. Which %ile do you fit in?

You're in the top 1% ?

Righto

Where could the U.K. not trade when it was an EU member?

whilst we were in the Single Market the shops were full of goods from China, India, Vietnam, Australia, America, Thailand, etc etc etc

So come on please tell us where the UK couldn’t trade.

So there’s NOT plenty of homes in France that people can afford? That debunks @Notch7 ’s post, doesn’t it?

The average house price in France as a whole is currently around €160,000. In the UK the average is €231,000.
