Haven’t JohnD’s stocks and shares increased without him doing anything? Do you approve of those who have spare cash investing in stocks and shares to make more money? Stocks and shares ISA's where you pay no tax on the dividends and profits they generate for you doing fùck all? Where has JohnD gone in this thread - he can tell us of his tax avoidance shenanigans. Or maybe not.

What about the little old lady who lives in the south east in a modest 4 bed house. Why should she downsize when the little old lady living next to noseall has a luxury 5 bed mansion worth a quarter of the value.

every employee earning in the top 1% will be paying around half their income in tax. Not some, all. 28% of all taxes. Some 1/2 a million people. The top 10% pay 60% of all income tax.

so next time you moan about how little tax the ”wealthy” pay. Maybe think about your own contribution.

The problem is that there are millions of people that bought many years ago, their houses have massively increased in value - which they’ve done nothing to generate that.

And now we have millions of people who can’t afford to buy and and are stuck in over priced rentals.



You might want to turn this into a tribal capitalist vs socialist argument - but in order to,solve a problem, it needs understanding.

Maybe you could think about a solution, then you will start to appreciate problem
